With a blend of punk, dark wave and experimental electronic noise, Scimitar defies categorization. Vocalist Athena and guitarist Lil’ Ian emerged as a duo towards the end of the pandemic and established the band’s early sound. Bassist Serge brought years of playing in metal bands and came on board in late 2023 to round out the sound. In their interview, the band discusses their music, creative process and the fastest way to lose a portable strobe light.
